Your ultimate recovery session.

Maximize the benefits of your sauna and cold plunge session by coming prepared. Here are some tips and recommendations to prepare for your upcoming visit. We look forward to seeing you in studio.

ARRIVE

Come in at least 5-10 minutes before your scheduled session for a smooth check-in and set-up.

WEAR

Fitness attire or swimwear are required for sauna and cold plunge sessions. See below for details on comfortable attire.

CLEANSE

You must be clean prior to your sauna or plunge session. If you’ve just come from a workout, you can rinse off in our shower room.

Prepare for your sauna experience.

  • Be sure to hydrate properly, drinking water before, during and after your visit. It is vital to stay hydrated when using infrared sauna. Bring your own water or enjoy water and electrolytes we have available for purchase in studio.

  • Swimwear, activewear or cotton clothing are great choices for a sauna session. We also recommend loose-fitting clothing for after your session.

  • Be sure to remove all makeup to allow your skin to receive all the benefits of infrared heat during your sauna session.

  • Bring a towel. We also have fresh towels available for rent.

  • Your session will be up to 30 minutes, with a few minutes to get undressed/dressed.

  • We start with a lower heat setting and increase as you are ready or comfortable. Heat settings can be adjusted any time during your session.

  • Bring earbuds to listen to your favorite music, podcasts, or book.

Prepare for your cold

plunge experience.

  • Bring a swimsuit or fitted activewear and a towel. Towels are also available for rent in studio,

  • Our tubs have phone holders so you can time your session and track your progress over time.

  • Temperatures are as low as 39 degrees.

  • Your plunge session is up to 20 minutes to include prep time, but it’s best to keep your to your plunge to no more than 10 minutes immersed in the water. Each person has a different threshold and a plunge can be beneficial anywhere between 1-10 minutes. The goal is to achieve a “fight or flight” response. In fact, it is better to do more sessions than longer sessions.

  • We always recommend a good sauna session prior to your plunge to maximize the recovery benefits to your mind and body.

Infrared sauna and ice bathing are considered safe for most people. However, there are still safety considerations to minimize potential risks of these recovery modalities. Always consult with a physician prior to starting any new health regimen or routine. REVIVE23 does not provide medical advice or treatment.
